GATE Coaching Programmes

About the Classes

Second year students

  • Second year of B.E. comprises of two semesters, III & IV. In the III semester of training the degree course not much is taught about chemical engineering. Fourth semester is more important in terms of chemical engineering as compare to third. Material & Energy balance; Fluid Mechanics & Fluid Particle Dynamics are essential for GATE and needs to concentrate on.
  • The GATE classes are very helpful for 2nd year students as GATE preparation, at the academy gives them the foundation required. This is the time when 2nd year students are in touch with chemical engineering for the first time and if this is utilized up to full potential, it produces better result in future not only in GATE but also in public sectors or campus selections as they demand sound & basic knowledge of chemical engineering. By starting the GATE preparations at this point of time, 2nd year students minimize the risk involved and becomes familiar with all the subjects of chemical engineering before they enters subsequent semesters of their degree. GATE preparations help them greatly in improving theory & practical aspects.

Third year students

  • In order to disclose the utility of GATE for all the chemical engineering students, it is imperative to know that 3rd year is the backbone of four year degree course. Above mentioned statement can be made clear with following points: They face various companies during the campus recruitment drive, they can better prepare for GATE, as 3rd year contains most important subjects of chemical engineering, preparations at this point surely produce the better score card of higher percentiles, and they get ready to crack in the final year of B.E.
  • Their misconception should better be removed at the earliest because some students try to misguide them by a worst of its kind theory that GATE preparation affects the B.E. percentages or their current semester studies. They must make it clear that GATE preparation only help them improve their B.E. concepts as well as results of most important semesters containing main chemical engineering subjects.

Final year students

  • They are at a point of higher risk than their juniors because at this point of time they have last chance of making it to the IITs or other higher level institutes in the country for M.E. / M. Tech. courses.
  • • However, they have the advantage of familiarity with all the subjects of GATE. They must utilize their past chemical engineering subject knowledge to full potential, which ultimately assist them not only in GATE but also in Public sectors & several other written exams. Chemical Engineering Academy prepares all the students for GATE as well for, public sectors, campus recruitments and core interviews.

The pattern of the coaching is almost identical for 2nd and 3rd year students, as we think that 3rd year students have gone through the subjects only superficially while 2nd year students have yet to get familiar with chemical engineering. The pattern is such that a current semester subjects are given primary importance hence the syllabus of all the current subjects are covered full length first then same subjects, stressing on GATE theory, numerical & then objectives. These subjects include; Fluid mechanics, Fluid particle dynamics, Heat transfer, Thermodynamics, and Mass transfer. Other subjects of B.E. 3rd year includes most important ones namely; Chemical reaction engineering & Process dynamics & control. Engineering mathematics, Material & energy balance, chemical equipment design and Management are covered later.
